 As a members’ organisation we are dependent on our members both corporate and individual to provide us with support both to maintain and to build our activities.

We price events to cover costs so we rely on other support to assist with the day to day running of the organisation.  Our target, to cover those costs, is c £20,000 per annum which allows us to maintain our activities and over time, to increase the scope of those activities.

OPRA Cymru presents an evening of opera classics performed by four of its promising young artists: a fresh take on some of the world’s favourite opera music through the beauty and drama of the Welsh language.

As the company prepares to launch its world premiere tour of Wythnos yng Nghymru Fydd by the celebrated composer Gareth Glyn and the chaired poet Mererid Hopwood, the evening also presents members of the public with a sneak preview of the work’s highlights.

The singers are accompanied at the piano by the company’s young music director for the November tour, Iwan Teifion Davies.

Please note that gentlemen are required to wear closed collar, jacket and tie. Ladies are required to dress with similar formality.
